Soft around the edges.

Why of why am I  drinking Coke Zero? Is is any better or worse for you than the swill that is the original version? I once felt, if you were going for the nasty softy, the you should go all the way. All singing, all dancing, all sugar. Now-a-days the body is not as forgiving as it used to be. The guilt has finally got to me. I am ashamed to drink diet soft drinks in public, so I cower at home, alone, secretly getting my fix.

What on earth is in that can to make it taste so darn good? Like the mixture of thousand island dressing and tomato sauce (or is it mayonnaise?) in McDonald's special sauce, something so simple and obvious that we have all been fooled for years? Actually I am pegging something much more sinister. Yet I am still drinking it. Perhaps it is the heat, nothing seems to be more universally refreshing on a hot day than an icy cold Coke. Classic marketing at its best, it's always summer somewhere in the world.

For now, I know its bad but I just can't help myself. The reasoning is: one can of Coke is a much better idea than six beers, or an entire bottle of sparkling wine.

And if anyone knows the secret ingredient in KFC please let me know. I've been dying to find out for years. I'll never tell, I promise.

one can of coke= 1.5 points
one can of beer= 2 points

even with all the sugar, the coke is still slightly less fattening...

Welcome to the strange world of the blogasphere... I am a very lazy, lazy blogger, but maybe I spend too much time writing for work instead of fun. I too made the the move from waitress/ barmaid/ petrol pumper to another role. 23 years (v.short... still have waitressing dreams)

what's the secret ingredient in kfc? take fatty chicken, roll it in flour and all the spices you can think of, then fry the ass off it.....and no paper draining.
same reason chicken fried steak tastes sooooo good - fat = flavor
even if it's a nasty flavor it still touches all the areas of your palate.......s'what i reckon anyway
